Get Carter with Sly?

I was in Asda the other day browsing through some racks of DVRAB, and found 'Get Carter', but with Sylvester Stallone on the front sporting a goatee and holding a pistol.

Reading the blurb on the back it might even have had Michael Caine in a cameo role, but I could be wrong there.

Has anybody seen it? It looked like a potential abomination, but it was only a fiver and I was tempted to see how awful it was, but didn't bother in the end.

I certainly don't remember any adverts for it or hype of any kind - did it sink without trace?

yeah its one of them american "lets copy a great british film and make it crap" ones, think it was out in 1999, but it was nowhere near as good as the original

I couldnt watch it for more than 30 minutes, go find the original in the rental store.

It's just so badly converted.

In the original, when Michael Caine is at the races, talking to the guy he used to know, he refers to his eyes as 'Like pissholes in the snow', I believe. The American version brilliant refers to them as 'like Cat piss'.

They just don't get it.
