Get a job or get out... [As of 8/30]

I was really only pointing that out in response to the "adult" statement kid added to his post. It ruffled my feathers as I took it as a broad generalization, which it may or may not have been.

I do have to agree that since the OP came back here to "update" us and he is no closer to an out for his situation than he was then, it seems he is not trying everything possible or even available to him.

Well I successfully got kicked out and to answer a lot of your questions I have gone out and put a few more apps in. See the problem with where I live... you have a shit ton of small family owned businsesses that haven't hired new people in two years. I have been walking into any place I can and asking for an app and seeing if they need any help at all and either I get an app and turn it in or they say they don't have any apps. I mean just yesterday I got two places telling me they haven't hired ANYONE new within the last two years so they have NO applications available to hand out. At the moment I am over a friends house and we are going out shortly to just walk into places we have applied already and damn near beg for a job. (Not really but you get the point).

My problem is atm with half of your guys statements... Yes they are all justified with what you have gone through etc. etc. but times change extremely quickly. You may find it hard to believe that 13 appliciations submitted is very small but I live in a town where that is actually pretty damn good. Not to mention half of those are on the internet anyways so it's not like I HAD to go there (I did anyways). Again... there are definitely a few more places but I am running out. VERY fast.

Could you give us a name of the town? I'm honestly curious what town doesn't have a need for new workers in 2 years.

I might want to get a small job and retire there.

You're an hour away from Jacksonville and you're having trouble finding a job? It's warm enough down there you can sleep outside if you have to.

Shit, you have no reason to stay in Pam Coast now, right? I'd head North.

Which means he needs to hitch a ride out of there then. The only reason he was staying just evaporated, and he's got no real responsibility or reason to stay that I can see.

Aerotek is hiring and that isn't a small family owned place.

If you took any shop classes in high school then you have experience.

Here's a list of all of the local government areas, email all of them inquiring for a job.

There's more than ten job contacts and I didn't even leave my bed.

Here's the hospital which also has jobs.

And you know most of those places are a 2 hour walk away?

Lol I remember why when I first found this site I didn't stay.

Most of you are giant hipocrits. Yes all of your info is very good but when you start breaking it down. None of you would walk 3 hrs to a job. None of you would have walked 4 hours north to a place you have never been before and have no where to live. So don't try to preach what you wouldn't even do. And of course you are either going to say you are or you did before but we all know it's complete bullshit hahah.

P.S. I am still curious... wtf industry is in Palm Coast?

Apply online to those places. If you get a callback or email asking to meet for an interview, I'm sure you could find some way to get there and back. I realize it's a small town but you don't know anyone with a car that would be willing to help you??
