Get a FUCKING JOB!

So, i've been home for three days, and already, my father is screaming at me to get off my ass. It's the holidays, and I'm planning on going out of town for my birthday and christmas. Well, that's fine. I'll just get a job at a tiny place and make a few bucks and throw it away like a dirty diaper.

That's not me. If I get a job, I'll stay at it for as long as I can! The shortest job ive held was about 7 months maybe? Well, I usually keep a job for at least a year.. but this time, I'm changing the pace for good ol dad.

Yay, time to kick it in gear, and show him that i'm worth a crap, even if it makes me miserable to go in and screw some place over. Yea, good job dad, make your daughter a lean mean working machine, where she doesnt care who she screws over, because it's all about the fucking money.

Bah, but enough about that, any ideas on how I can get a quick job that I dont need to stay at? I'm not going to be there for even a month!! Why would he make me do this now?

Oh well. Ideas! No temp work please, I hate those places, they dont give me anything. I can't lift heavy things.
 
If there are seasonal stores around, those specializing in Christmas decorations, or places like Hickory Farms, they are looking for short-term employees. They do big business between now and the end of the year, then are pretty much empty after that. They'd be happy to see someone who isn't expecting lifetime employment. Check your local paper in the employment section. There are usually ads for seasonal work.

J/K But seriously... show that fucker who's the lazy bitch. Get so far up off your ass that you make even more money than him. Then rub it in his face until he cries.
 
There doesn't seem to be a market for boner slayers, so all I can suggest is a job at the mall. The larger clothing stores hire about 80 people just for the holiday season. You also get a discount.
 
Hmm, mall is an hour away! Gas money, blah, couldnt do it, especially with traffic and lateness. Good idea though!

Now, when it comes to walmart, that I could do, but i'm planning on that as a backup job if everything else fails, for health insurance :)

Seasonal places, im going to look into. The newspaper's not a bad place to look. I'll be starting my quest in a few days, and holding the job for a week or two. Haha how lame is that. Oh well, at least it will be an experience! Any more ideas?
 
get a job as a cart-girl at a golf course. they won't care if you are a temp and you get big tips if you pick a nice course.

you can also make money by stuffing envelopes at home. i got an email about it. i'll send it over.
 
I used to work for UPS. They will hire anyone, regardless of qualifications. You can work for a month and then quit, or if you slack off enough that you don't make your minimum numbers, they will usually fire you right before 30 days, because that's when you gain your union rights and can no longer be fired. It's hard physical labor, but hey, if you're going to take a job just for a month to satisfy your father, it might as well be something that will get you in shape! When I worked there, I lost prob ably 70 lbs. in three months just from busting my ass. Of course, after working there for 3 and a half years, I now suffer from chronic back pain.

EDIT In fact, it just occurred to me... UPS always hires a shit load of temps for christmas rush, which starts on monday. They're absolutely guaranteed to hire you. But they'll be looking for you to stay at least untill mid january I think.
 
Tee hee, too bad I just quit that job. That, and you've no idea how cold it was doing that job a month ago, I can't imagine how cold it'd get now. BRR

UPS would break my back, literally. I suppose I should have explained that i've got major back problems already before requesting job ideas. :)
 
I worked at a hardware store for 3 days.....three days that i worked that is. quit, then went back 2 months later to get the money for working for three days. : 0
