ExVuTechRep and AgentExpressV these boards are to educate and help out the members. Life is not black and white, if you two "boys" are always going to spew off the company manure, please go away. I do not want to hear the company crap. Tell us how to maximize our viewing pleasure, how to make things right that are wrong, bend the system in our favour.

That is why I am on here, the more I read your posts, I see Diogen was right, you may not be who we thought you were, but your are on here to smooth things over for Bell. Not to honestly help us here to do some of the above mentioned activities.

That is how I see it. Just have a funny taste in my mouth about you "boys"

Mine are still there but there is proper guide data now instead of the "Subscribe for Free" message. I guess the "preview" is over. I was getting sick of the missing guide info.

Because not everyone can drop what they are doing and call BEV every time a channel goes missing. If you guys are going to goof around with the channels and packages and FORCE people to have to call in to get channels re-activated that they are already legitimately PAYING FOR then you should be prepared to cover that cost. Otherwise put some effort into it and switch people over yourselves... rather than wasting peoples' time calling in.

You are lucky to get away with $10... my billable rate is $250/hour... will bell cover my opporunity cost for time spent waiting on the phone and speaking to a CSR to get a channel back that you took away without my approval?

Not really, I'm talking on my own when I am here. I would be ashamed to call for a $25 credit for that matter.

That said radiologist46, I wish you could see farther than your nose. I've helped you a lot but I guess we have a different conception of the concept of help. As I once said to a client that claimed I was not helping her when she asked me for way too much compensation and I refused, if your definition of help is to give you what you want then, indeed, I won't help you.

I have to be polite despite you guys being totally unappreciative of my efforts to educate and solve issues when possible. I'm doing this and am not even paid to but I'm still representing the company, which means I have to keep my flegm. After taking thousands of calls, you learn to ignore these things.

If you wish this forum to be a place where you don't have the other, insider side of the story then let it be that way, I'm going to leave the minute I feel this is the way you guys want it here.

also have Rush and Equator in red (as in not subscribed) ... anyone knows if they're part of the HDTV Pack ?

This was said so many times before but I guess some people don't understand too quickly.

The channels were in FREE PREVIEW and were NOT included in the HD package the customers had. What Bell did is simple. They made a package that is called "HD Old" and a package that is called "HD New". It was advertised that the free preview would end and that you would have to either call a CSR or use the interactive functions of your receiver to add these channels to your programming. If you suscribe to "HD Old", which, indeed, you do by default, then Bell did not remove the channels without your consent: you did not even have them before, they were in FREE PREVIEW. There is ABSOLUTELY no guarantee whatsoever that the new HD channels Bell adds to its lineup will be added in the HD package you have on your brochure. In the future, Bell may decide to create a second HD package and add the channels there. And this is what was done.

So, if I recap, first of all, it is totally in Bell's right to not add these channels to the programming you had (and you claim these channels were removed when, in fact, the preview ended, where's the logic in that ?). Second of all, you could've added the channels either through the iTV features or by going on bell.ca.

just to let u know that when i got a&e hd added he added rush and equator too.they are part of the hd pack but u got to get them to upgrade your pac

ExVuTechRep yes I liked your help (well sort of), I asked specific questions and got a nice dance arround. Hey I didn`t mean to come on to strong, but insider information is great, but you are not giving us that. You are only giving us administration information, that all of us have picked up over the years or by writing about our experiences of different providers.

What I want to know is the swap of the 9200`s and 6100`s or all the HD receivers going to happen, are we getting Showcase and National Geographic Hd, yes (and when if yes) or no? Now that is inside information!!! That is the kind of inside information that makes this forum special.

I think that you are giving free time here is admirable, but it is your choice. I think others will agree with me, but u will probally say you are on a NDA and alsa can only spout off administrative support which we can get from guys like dirtyjeffer and other resellers. Sorry if the truth hurts, just what I feel.

A&E, Rush and Equator are shown as "additional HD" on the Evu webpage and are included in the price of the HD pack ($10). However, they are not included by default. Yesterday I accessed the Bell on-line service and rather than do the sync option i changed my programming...there was a check box to add the additional HD channels at no add'l cost. It rehit my receiver within seconds and now I have these three channels. And no, i do not subscribe to the SD version of A&E

The question about the receiver swap was already answered long time ago by workforbell. I, for myself, cannot say if yes or no, there will be one unless I am 100% sure because it is not really like a $5 increase, it's a multi-million dollars adventure that can influence a lot of things, including Bell stocks (and I am not going to mention all the trouble I can get into for that).

Resellers and most CSRs get the information (if they get it) rather later than I do, I can tell you that for sure. But I'm not running around saying all sorts of crazy stuff I hear on the floor because I'm not a gossiper.

That said, there will MOST PROBABLY, if the company does not change its plans, which they might, be a receiver swap.

Regardless of what you note I still think this could have been handled better. Perhaps I can be appeased if the rationale for having all-in-one customers call in to activate could be explained? It just seems like a really odd practice. If as a subscription-based service my local newspaper added a new section at no cost, would I typically have to call them to make sure it

No extra fee for TSN HD, we just need to put the code in the system. It is included in the HD value pack

No, I think you may have misunderstood me. There was indeed a charge for TSN-HD if you are on a grandfathered legacy package such as Ultimate 7. I paid $2.50/mo each for TSN-HD and Discovery-HD before I converted to all-in-one. They are not included in the HD value pack (even if you get TSN-SD) if you are under a legacy package.
