I have recently been hospitalized & diagnosed with GERD, Barrett's disease ,bleeding ulcers after suffering for many years with heartburn & acid reflux.
My hemoglobin & iron count so low, needed blood transfusions.
I am now on Prilosec OTC, 40 mg. daily & Zantac 75 mg. every evening.
Great relief !
Can anyone tell me if Previcid 24hr, 30 mg. (now over counter ) is equivalent to the Prilosec otc 40 mg. ?
Is there a huge difference between the two ?
I understand that they are very close to being equal.
I do plan to question my Dr. but appoint. is a few mo. away & wondered if anyone has any knowledge or experience of this.
I would like to switch, depending on cost.
