Gerd and shortness of breath

I was diagnosed with slight GERRAB last month, but it actually started late Summer of last year,
I just gave this recurrent shortness of breath.
I was just put on omeprazole which I can not take.
Please help with any advice you can offer
 
I did not find Prilosec helpful at all with my reflux.

You didn't say why you can't take the Omperazole. I have one PPI that I totally can't tolerate, but I do better with the others. Have you talked to your doctor about other options?

Have you tried making lifestyle changes yet? Things like not eating for at least 3 hours before bed, sleeping with the bed propped up by 6 inches at the head, wearing loose clothing at your waist, avoiding fooRAB like: chocolate, carbonation, caffeine, high fat, greasy, acidic, tomatoes, spicy, etc...
