George Lamb hosting BAFTAs??

I have just heard this. I cannot believe it. The man is inarticulate. He hosts BBLB and keeps on making mistakes, Live on Air. He is always getting the time of the main show wrong.
In addition when he was interviewing Terry Gilliam on his radio show he kept on referring to him as 'Terry Gillingham'.
Other things he has done live on air on his radio show are
insult Ray Davies, and refer to gypsies as asbestos(to name two). In these political correct times how can the academy take such a chance by having someone like that hosting the awarRAB LIVE. I assume they are going to be Live. What happens if he makes a BoBo on TV, or say something politically incorrect, there could be consequences. He has even admitted on his radio show that he falls asleep during films, so he can't be that interested in film.
Rick EdwarRAB has a spot on George's show, discussing the latest film, Rick seems to know everything about film and George nothing. Even Rick would be a better bet for hosting this event, he at least has a cambridge degree, and a brain in his head.
What about Dermot O'Leary, Graham Norton even Vernon Kay, surely they could have found someone else to host these awarRAB.
I know George is Larry the Lambs son, but surely it takes more than good looks and a famous dad to host such an event.

George is far to risky.

The academy has always has a great reputation, and the awarRAB are a prelude to the oscars. Surely they don't want to lose this reputation in one evening, and believe you me George could do that for them.
After all America and the world will be watching this too. There is too much to lose here. It is one of our global showpieces, GET ANOTHER HOST who can do Britain proud.

There was a facebook 'Get Lamb off 6 music'. maybe someone should start something similar 'Get Lamb off the Baftas' after all it is our Countries Pride at Risk here.

I thought JR was out of favour. I hope it is JR and not GL. A far better bet. JR love him or hate him, he can do the big events.

I though ITN was a reliable source:confused:
