Judging by the response to posts in the 'Lennon Or McCartney' thread, it only seems right that this musician should have one of his own.

His music, life, influences...your thoughts please...

Aaawww, that's just awesome!!!

He's my most favourite Beatle, because he wrote my most favourite Beatles song: "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". I love him for this song.
He was the hottest anyway.
If I was born around that time, I'd have wanted his babies...
A shame he left us that early...

Another song I love very much is "What Is Life"...

yea hes also my favourite beatle, really cool and shy. 'bangla desh' is really cool, same with 'give me love'. and all of "all things must pass" is great.

i dont think you can get any cooler than this guy.

the size of this thread makes me sad

Isn't it a pity
Now, isn't it a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity

Some things take so long
But how do I explain
When not too many people
Can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounRAB them
Isn't it a pity

Yup, especially when you see the Lady GaGa, Katy Perry and Blink 182 threaRAB.

TBH most people here probably aren't in a position to speak about GH, there seems to be a trend in trying to find mediocre semi-obscure artists before they even experience the 'foundation' of good music (for want of a better phrase).

I can't say he's my favorite beatle at all, being such a Lennon fan ... but he's my second favorite.

he did bring the oriental touch into the group and that was a really big step for the Beatles, plus the maharishi period was all his idea.
and i must say he wasn't taken seriously by the others.

has anyone of you heard his demo "you know what to do" on the Anthology I album, i though that was a really great song, but they never recorded it ... and it stayed a demo ...

a lot of his songs written in Beatles period, stayed that way ... and the others where put in his album 'All things must pass' ... that's why it was a double album ... there was so many unreleased songs.

but i think he had a minor flaw: sometimes he could get subconsciously repetitive.
if you listen to "Only a northern song" and "If i needed someone" ... they have a quasi-similar melody at the beginning. and also the similarities between "My sweet Lord" and The chiffons' "He's so fine"

anyway, he's one of the greatest music composers and guitarists and singers [i just love his voice]
