Geo Metro, Toyota Tercel or Honda Civic? Used car shopping?

Thought I'd ask the public this one. I'm looking for:
1) Dependability
2) Fuel consumption
3) compact size
4) manual, 2-door, <$2,300,

The Metro would work on fuel consumption and compact size, but do you think the Tercel is the most dependable?

Oh, and if you're selling, and in the Chicagoland area (or beyond too), my email is
[email protected].

Thank you for all that can offer help.

The Geo is really a Suzuki, for the most part, with some GM parts added on. Honda engines are usually interferenc fit engines. If the timing belt breaks, so do some intake valves. The Toyota is probably the best choice of the cars you have mentioned. If you value sturdiness, find a good used Audi or VW. They do better in crash tests and actually have more to offer!

Geo Prizm but not the Metro ( has the Toyota Engine )
Toyota Corolla but not the Tercel
Honda Civic very nice but will cost you more than the others.

Just my opinion here...
