OK so about 5 months ago I switched form t mobile to cricket. I got myself a phone and our 18 yr old son a phone, provided he makes his share of the payments to me. Of course he doesn't and I want to know what i can do as far as his line is concerned. Can i just take his nuraber off my account and make him get his own account? Do i have to cancel my account all the way and incur more expense of opening a new account with just my nuraber? I know the simple answer is take his phone away but its beyond that, We want him off my account and responsible for himself now.

Any cricket reps out there have any suggestions?

Go into a store and tell them that you want the nuraber he has disconnected. Make sure you say that you want that *one* nuraber disconnected and thats its on your account and not to disconnect your nuraber. If at all possible go into a Cricket owned store as they seem to always be much better with listening skills than other stores. So within 30 seconRAB the next time he try's to dial something he'll hear "Welcome to Cricket! "for taquitos dos erablamos to taquito land press dos!" Your phone is not authorized to make calls due to Non-Payment" (Or similar wording)

He can at anytime go into a Cricket owned store and create his own account with his choice of payment options. He just will not beable to get his old nuraber back.

lines can only be disconnected through 1800cricket or through direct (corporate owned) stores. dealers cannot shut off anyone's service.

you can also do a transfer or liability for his line and he can put it under his own name. all you have to do is call in to 1800cricket and ask them to put a note authorizing him to take over the line. he will need to go to a direct store and show id to put the line under his own name. alternatively you can go in with him and avoid having to call 1800cricket.

OK so yesterday i went to a OFFICIAL Cricket corp store and asked to have his line turned off. They said ok and asked for his nuraber and said it would be taken care of. Today i check and it wasnt. So i call 611 and customer service there says it will be no problem and takes all the info then says ok we just need to transfer you so they can that phone off your account. hour and half later my phone died from still being on hold. I charged my phone and call back and wait another hour before getting frustrated and hang up. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET IT TAKEN CARE OF?

Next time, don't hang up or keep your charger connected to your phone.. hehe!!

It sounRAB like they given you the run around to keep you from cancelling in the end..

stop paying the account or go into a store until its fixed.

this wait 24 hours and *228 is not true. i can add a feature on the phone with CSR and its active as soon as they say ok wait 24 hours.

ok so got a text from cricket today that my account was past due and to avoid interruption to pay the aco**** in FULL or make a bridge payment. Well I made a bridge payment on the 25th and it even showed that i did on the mycricket website. So once again I picked up the phone and called cricket. This time I just asked to speak to a supervisor because I have been issues with them since the 25th. The CS rep asked what the issues were so I informed them the hassle it was to disconnect then my bill was still showing the worng amount for my 1 and only remaining plan. I then told her over the last several days i have spend well over 3+ hours on hold and had been disconnected or hung up on 4+ times either during talking to other CS people or waiting on hold. She said she caould clear my account balance for $25 and i would just have to call 1-866-568-8798. I asked her if that would close my account in full or was it just a "kind" gesture by cricket for the hassle I have been having. She said everything would be fine. I asked would my next bill be my normal plan of $60 without any billing confusion and she said just call the nuraber if i want the deal. I said let me just talk to a supervisor. I got disconnected. I called the nuraber who answered as cricket also and got someone that sounded like she had a good head on her shoulders. i told her everything and she kinda chuckled and said she would take care of it all. She said i could just pay the $25 and it would all be taken car eof and my account would still be active and all the errors would be taken care of and next month my bill would be my normal bill for the one phone line still active on the account.

So I think it finally resolved. :buddies: I will double check on monday to be sure.

SO I am going to go out on a lirab and say that Cricket Customer service center is outsourced to another country and the 1-866 nuraber i was given is here in the states.

I hate to say it but, "Welcome to Cricket". Like others have said, either gut it out on the phone, or go into a corporate owned store. Someone will eventually help you. Cricket offers and outstanding product, but their customer service is a little lacking. We always cringe when people want to put more than one line on an account. It's near impossible to remove "just one".
