General 2008 Discussion

The Vampire Weekend one is titeld, by the way. It's self-titled.

Incidentally my favourite recorRAB so far have been Blood On The Wall "Liferz" and Vampire Weekend, and I'd add the Drive-By Truckers LP to that too. I'm currently listening intently to Atlas Sound's album and have Beach House lined up. Very much looking forward to Fleet Foxes "Sun Giant EP" when it actually becomes bloody available.

There's some live performances of the new stuff on youtube. I don't have enough posts to link to them, but they're called "Mingusings", "Softcore", "Our Last Summer of Independence" and one other slow jam that I don't know the title to. Going by what Kevin said, I expected the new stuff to be a lot weirder. But it's still pretty good. They opened with "Mingusings" when I saw them and it was amazing.
