There are differences between the genders which invite problems when ignored or denied. Physical, emotional, mental differences make the question of equality mute. One might argue that apples are equal with oranges. Both are wonderful but they are different. If you are a person of faith, you most likely know that God held Eve accountable for yeilding to the serpents lies and His judgement against her included: "...and he shall have the rule over thee." Another bit of scripture which may help us understand is when Lucifer said: "I will set my throne as high as The Most High." An attempt to make himself equal with God. That didnt work out very well, did it? I submit for your consideration the idea that the very same spirit is at work in our modern world which promotes the womens movements to erase the differences between men and women. Women can wear gender neutral clothes, chop off their hair, join the military and get a tatoo but once a month they will be reminded they are female. I believe the happiest women today (Oh yer gonna love this) are the Martha Stewarts and the Sarah Palins who enjoy and promote the differences, and embrace old fashioned family values.
