Gazing into someones eyes...weird?

Am I the only only one that gets weirded out when looking into someones eyes or having prolonged eye contact?

I mean when I talk to someone I usually look them in the mouth or whatever but when I look them in the eye, it just feels very wrong. Its like I'm invading their space. I get all weirded out and from their look I think they get freaked out too.

The only time I look into someones eyes is when I feel attracted to someone one, but doing it with a teacher...that just seems wrong!

Do you think the same or do you have no problem with it and would make eye contact with someone?
Like if their teaching or talking

It depends, usually prolonged I contact can be a sign of flirting, however some people just do it to show that there listening and it's respectful. I don't think there is anything wrong with being weird out by it either. Some people don't like the fact of being stared at.

I can't look at anyone in the eyes. It's really hard for me to make eye contact. :(
I can't even talk to someone without getting nervous.

I have given the wrong impression repeatedly because I prefer not looking into someone's eyes. It makes ME feel an invasion of space.
But I have spoken to people who literally hide behind objects and I find that frustrating.
I do at least need to SEE them.

You're not the only one, I don't make eye contact during conversations too.

I don't think it's wrong when you look at other people's eyes, but other people think it's disrespectful. While others would feel like you're not sincere when you don't make eye contact.
