Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd. have given the go-ahead for a CG movie to be released in 2008.
All the original characters are to feature and will be redesigned with a fresh look. They will also be new characters and creatures being introduced.
Kevin Munroe, the man behind the new Ninja Turtles film has wrote the screenplay and is to direct the film.
I've not seen the original Gatchaman as that series has not been shown in the UK. Bravo and the BBC have only ever shown Battle of the Planets which was a censored version of Gatchaman. Let's hope the movie isn't a huge let down of a great cult classic.
