I wasreading some summaries of the manga, and in the current arc, Zatch and group go into an immense tower, and plan to stop it from destroying Japan from the inside. However, as of chapter 257, it has reached Japan, but failed to attack. And it turns out Zeno is the one controlling it. (After defeated it's former caretaker.) And reveals Zatch of his past.

He and Zeno are twins, and Zatch was sent to a private school, while Zeno had to go through immense training, yet Zatch got their father's ultimate power, and that's why he hates him. And their father is the Mamodo king.

I wish I didn't read that, it will not be fun watching the series or reading the manga, anymore. I will pretend that the spoilers never happenned, at least not in the USA. Who is Zeno?

Chapter 297
We leave off from Papipurio running from Goomu, but Lupa appears and casts a spell to distract Goomu. She then casts the gluing spell on Goomu's feet, but he isn't affected. They then use the smokescreen spell, and run away. Meanwhile, Kanchome is waiting for Papipurio and Folgore is surrounded by fangirls.
Papipurio and Lupa are in an alley, but Goomu shows up, and uses a spell where uses darkness to attack. The attack hits Lupa's legs as the 2 escape. When they get far, they use an acid type spell to melt a hole in the wall, and go through someone's house. However, Goomu shows up as soon as they exit. Lupa grabs on to Goomu, but Goomu easily kicks her off. And then the 2 escape again. Mir is getting sick of it, and plans on using it when they catch up.
Papipurio and Lupa reach a 3 way alley, and Lupa gives Papipurio money, and his book, then tells him to escape. The next part was translated.
Papipurio: WHY?! Why are you getting hurt for me! Why do you do this?!
Lupa: Because you are my son.
This triggers a flasrabroadack to when Papipurio first meets Lupa, and is disappointed it's someone like her. The next day, he is shown crying because the kiRAB won't let him play with them. Lupa says that she'll play with him. Before Papipurio goes outside, he sees a picture of a child, and asks who it is. Lupa tells him that he is her son, who died due to heart failure. This changes what Papipurio thinks of her.
It goes back to the present, and Goomu has caught up, and uses a sppell that covers the entire alley in darkness. Lupa pushes Papipurio out of the way, and takes the attack full on.

Zeno is that Zatch lookalike. and there are 25 volumes in Japan, the spoilers were from the most recent chapter, so, no, it isn't over.

And so, Zatch has won. Once Zeno realizes there's no hope, he tears off part of his cloak to protect Dufort from the attack. He gets devoured by Baou, and has a memory of Zatch's again.
This time, it's Zatch as a baby, and the queen and king are discussing that if Zeno had the Baou, everything would be destroyed. And the king says, "It's unfortunate, but they'll have to seperated." Then, it shows Zatch with his caretaker, Yuno. Yuno kept making Zatch do chores and told him that his parents were dead. Soon, she gets a telefram from the the king and and queen to know how their son is doing. Zatch overhears this and is estaic to realize that he is a royal child, and starts playing games where he is the king.
Zeno then opens his eyes and tells to Zatch "I AM A FOOL!"

Lupa has been engulfed by the spell, and Papipurio is crying. But, Lupa is ok. She did take a hit, but Folgore and Kanchome arrived before it could do any damage. Mir notes that the spell just disappeared. Folgore and Kanchome check to see if the 2 are ok, but Lupa faints, so they decide to battle Goomu.
Goomu uses aspell that starts of as a circle, but then it turns into a spiked ball of darkness. Before it hits, Folgore uses a spell that makes it disappear. Mir is shocked by this, and Folgore uses another spell, and Kanchome does the same thing that Goomu was going to do, spiked ball and everything. Goomu takes serious damage, and Folgore calls out the spell again so Kanchome can use that wall of darkness spell, but Goomu flies before he gets hit.
Mir and Goomu use the transporting ability to escape, and after they do, Kanchome tells Folgore to read another spell. Mir and Goomu wind up at Easter Island, Goomu seriously injured. Mir says that Goomu an heal there, but to their horror, Kanchome has caught up!

And so, Zeno's book gets burned. After a chat between him and Zatch, Zeno gives Zatch his memories back. Just as he starts to become transparent, Zatch tells him that they'll live as a family. Zeno then talks to Dufort, who's dissapointed that the answer talker failed him. Dufort makes a promise that he'll be more social and Zeno biRAB everyone farewell. Before he does, he gives some of his power to Zatch.
However, all is not happy, as Zeno's control bead has cracked, causing Faudo to be under control BY NOONE! And with that, he charges and aims his laser at Mochinoki. Brago then shows up, calls Faudo annoying, and goes into fighting pose.

Kanchome has caught up with Mir and Goomu at Easter Island, and brought Folgore and the rest with him. Mir says that even though his power is incredible, he will still lose, and activates a spell that makes up darkness in different shapes. Folgore uses a spell that lets Kanchome have these tentacles come from him that eat up all the darkness spots.
Mir is shocked, and asks Kanchome how he did that, and Kanchome responRAB by having one of the tentacles punch her leg. Goomu tries to make a space-time hole, but the tentacles eat that too. Mir realizes there's no hope and begs Kanchome to stop, but Kanchome tells her to shut up and punches her arm.
It flashes back to Dufort telling Kanchome something about the tentacles. I'm not sure if this is true, but from the scans, it looks as if the tentacles have a consciousness, and if they absorb spells from nice mamodo, they are nice and Kanchome can easily control them, but if it's from an evil mamodo, they are hard to control and will take over.
Kanchome then turns into a huge demon, and smashes Goomu to the ground when he tries to escape. Kanchome then talks about how he'll kill Goomu and Mir, and attacks, but Folgore goes in between the attack and Mir.

Super pwnage Kanchome is the easily the most bizarre thing in the series. (which is saying a lot, considering that the cast enjoys breaking out into song and dancing)
