Gas Prices...

OPEC owns the fucking oil. It's there's to set the price on. They aren't gouging shit.

A single oil tanker would do an enormous amount of environmental damage. One tanker could cause half the worlds fish supply to disappear.

I'm not worried about security dumbass. I'm worried about reality. Foreign policies like the one you are proposing would result in more terrorist attacks. You're talking about bombing the middle east, an area in which we're already not well liked. Blowing shit up just because we don't like to pay $4 a gallon is only going to cause more resentment.

Further, your plan would cause the price of gas to INCREASE. Dramatically. It would easily exceed $20 a gallon. Why? Because OPEC would simply say "OK, well fuck you. NO oil. ZERO." And then what? Oh I know, mass armed invasion of the OPEC nations. Because we've done so well with the mass armed invasion of Iraq.

What you've suggested would make the US little more than an armed thug. It would be the same as you shooting the manager of the movie theater because you thought the cost of a ticket was too high. It would be armed robbery. And if you don't think the world would have a violent reaction to that you are an idiot.

Using the nuke to force the world to bow to us? I guess we should just call you Adolph then? We'd just got done fighting Germany and Japan who were both hell bent on doing exactly what you suggest. They wanted to use their military might to make the rest of the world bow down.

The cost of Gasoline in the United States is kept low by federal subsidies. At $3.25 a gallon it's still very inexpensive compared to the average cost in Europe. Using previously stated costs and figured it's still more than $9.50 a gallon.

The cost of gas is unfair to wellfare moms? Well, I guess she maybe should have paid more attention in school and less time on her back? That or she can take the fucking bus.

Somehow I suspect that the US military is not as powerful as you'd like to think it is. Point blank, we are not capable of taking on the entire world by ourselves. Hell, we aren't even capable of taking on one small Middle Eastern country and you'd have us invade the entire fucking area.

Your right I was just pissed like WTF lol.....But still ground wise I agree the U.S. Military isn't that much more powerful than other ground forces HOWEVER are air power is FAR greater than other countries. For instance the reason we are having trouble in Iraq is becasue it's turned to Guerrilla Warfare-we can't see the enemy... BUT when Saddam's pathetic Army so to speak was trying to so called defend the country IT WAS A JOKE THE U.S. could clearly see the enemy and most surrendered on sight of us they had NO CHANCE OF LIVING...I will also say this for every U.S. troop killed there ave been 10 enemies killed and I am not exaggerating. We have killed about 30,000 confirmed enemies in this war CHECK THE MILITARY web site. I believe that I AM NOT SAYING HOWEVER THAT I SUPPORT THE WAR it's a waste of time and money.

Again, use paragraphs.

Our air superiority over 3rd world countries is pretty good. But you know, China's airforce would give ours a run for the money. And blatantly attacking the middle east and threatening China's supply of oil would undoubtedly bring them into the fight as well. Along with many other countries who DO have fire power in the skies.

It's down to like $3.17 here. The highest I saw so far was $3.49. I can't wait until there's a 2 as the first digit again....IF it happens.

All these worldly king at your computer thoughts are makin me frown. If reality was in the posts sincerely...
find a little car with a favorite four cylinder, your own or by good reputation. I just happen to love the 3 main beaing boxer (I seem to have to emphasize this)- New subarus aren't the engine I refer to, thercpmmon sense engine I love is going into classic or antique status. I have recently gone through the routine of making it go up into the 40s mpg (I have 10 years with this particular engine- I squeezed one into mythological on fuel by travelling 260 miles with four dollars and change!). Through all gas hikes, ups and downs... to have a car in the 40s mpg is going with the flow of the future situation. I still focus on cars and trucks,as the biggest problem. I have spotted the v8 diesel coming out soon by cummins- claims of 20s mpg and 5ton capable. (wow. I am saying "wow" ahead of time- I know a diesel can do this.)
I wondered after hating the government at first if it isn't another top secret socialist type plan to enforce change by big slothy american companies to become more efficient (again I believe it is amercian auto industry as the focus).
After travelling overseas to Eurpe and seeing the downsized scale of everything, including the higher gas prices..
I felt kinda guilty about my house shaking 350hp monte carlo ready to suck down a few gallons for a 100 yard good time. I knew right then and there, america is disgusting with consumption. to this day when I see the 20 something year old or any age for that matter "getting after" the flowmastered 5. something liter v8 pickup all by themselves not hauling anything and pretending there is nothing bigger in this world makes me cringe. (Trucks are repulsively number one here)
This is not a bad thing happening with fule prices. It is growing pain towards civilization.Hard times take out weak things, regardless of the flow of momentum.:flamed:

Gas prices are out of control, but there is solution. Said solution being: Giant Eagle FuelPerks!. Go buy your weekly groceries at Giant Eagle with your Advantage card and get like a dollar off a gallon.

You fuckin' morons. Gas prices are severely deflated in the US. The average world price for a gallon is well over $3 a gallon. How about you pay the REAL value of gasoline? $9 a gallon?

Then maybe every little dicked man would get out of his needlessly large truck and evaluate his energy consumption.

I'm waiting for the day when gas hits $6 a gallon. Maybe then it'll hurt so much to fill up your fucking Hummer that you'll take the damn bus.

Gas will never again drop below the $2 mark. Why would it? At $3 all we do is bitch but our demand for it goes up. The law of economics says that if you can sell the same volume of goods for a higher price then you should. The gas companies won't lower gas back below $2 simply because they know they don't have to. We'll buy just as much of it at $3 a gallon as we would at $1.80. Hell, right now we're buying MORE of it.

Ah, and the cost of living in the US, our workforce economy, and the amount of money the government rapes from us doesn't equalize that? $9 a gallon wouldn't be too bad if like 3/4 if the workforce made more than 85k annually.

This I agree with. Huge gas-guzzling bitches serve no purpose. If you want something that big, go buy a diesel. It's actually cheaper, and better on fuel consumption.

Which is why an alternate fuel needs to be incorporated. I don't care if you shove corn in your car, or if you piss in the tank. Something needs to happen so all of our money doesn't go into fossil fuels so we can 1. get back and forth to work, and 2. slowly kill the ecosystem.

I'm pretty damn sure that America is pushing gas prices up because once fusion power is a possibility (in about 2070) gas is going to be obsolete (so they won't make so many sales). On top of that since America is trying to dominate the world, we also need to control the distribution of oil. This is why we invaded Iraq and all of those other oil heavy countries. This is also why we are trying to reserve our oil deposits located in Alaska, Texas, and other states. Additionally we are pushing up the price so that other countries will buy it in lesser quantities. America wants it all for itself that it might dominate other countries with weapons that are classified and kept from the public in all ways possible. That's "Free America" for you.

Dont you love America?:happysad:

I belive the future of fuel lies within hydrogen. It is the most plentiful element in the universe.

I know hydrogen in the gas and liquid form it is a rolling bomb, but when chemically bonded with certain elements it is perfectly safe.

I like this site, it is like hydrogen for dummies.

This is true. The government is working on automobiles that can use hydrogen as the fuel source and the exhaust is going to be pure oxygen. The problem most engineers are having is that the cost to do all this is too high (go figure). Making these cars is expensive and the harder part is changing all of the gas stations over to hydrogen stations. This would cost trillions of dollars. That is why FlexFuel cars and trucks are being made. They can use gasoline and ethenol. The only problem with this is that ethenol is actually more expensive to make then gasoline is. So by mixing ethenol into the gasoline we are spending more money to make it and it will still increase the cost at the pumps. All we are really doing by this is saving gas.

I think perhaps your grasp of reality is a bit on the lacking side.

The government is not working on Hydrogen fueled cars. The car makers are. Honda specifically is currently testing Hydrogen fuel cell cars in select cities.

The byproduct of burning hyrdrogen is water, not Oxygen. Oxygen is the catalyst in the reaction. In other words you burn one atom of Hydrogen and 2 atoms of Oxygen and get Dihydrogen Monoxide. (Water)

You can't convert gas stations to hydrogen stations. The delivery systems are entirely different. Gasoline is a liquid that can be pumped like water. Hydrogen would be a compressed gas that would require an entirely different storage and delivery system. However it can be produced through electrolysis at the fuel source rather than at a refinery and trucked in.

However it won't be the end-all-be-all solution we'd all like it to be. Hydrogen is the most abundant atom in the universe, but it's very VERY rarely found on it's own. It's almost always found in combination with other chemical compounds. In order to use the hydrogen we'll have to extract it from those compounds. Which means we have to have a large volume of the compounds in question. By far the easiest would be extracting from Water. However that means we have to have lots of water to burn. Not such an easy thing in agricultural area or in a high desert like much of the midwest and west.

I have a lil bit more of a grip then you do. The US government is the one behind it all. Congress is the one who got the idea and presented it to the car makers.

I'm not talkin about literally converting a gas station to a hydrogen station. I'm talking about the entire process of replacing all gas stations with hydrogen stations.

Now as for omitting water and using oxygen as a catalyst, you are right and I fucked up.
