Gas Mileage - sure someone asked before

for those who don't have the luxury of having the new DTC on the newest S models. Here is a link:

oh and it might also improve gas mileage but odds are you will want to grab a lil' more throttle with this unit installed on the bike. If you buy the traction control unit it also comes with a quick shift kit and built in fuel management but not certain how all of that ties in with the ecu? I'll research what / when i can.

seems about right for gas mileage.... with my stock ECU and A and R baffle kit I'd get around 80-90 miles till the light came on and then put in around 2.5 gallons.

After reading another gas mileage thread a while back and seeing peeps run out of gas within 10 min of getting the light I decide not to F with fate. Soon as that light comes on, I'm looking for a gas station.

With my newly installed Microtech ECU and K&N air filter I got a bit less gas mileage out of my last tank but about 50% of the time I was in stop and go traffic for about 2.5hrs so I'm guessing that added to it since the new mapping has my bike idling a little higher than stock.

basic idea here is get gas when that light comes on..... pushing 400lbs any distance sux....

I got an '04 999 stock and my light comes on between 90-95 miles then I'm quickly looking for a gas station. One time I did have to ride with that light on for about 7 miles and I was sweating bullets the whole way. After I filled it up I was only able to squeeze in about 2.7 gallons.
