just random here. I kwow there is no leak. What I do get after a ride is a strong smeel of gas in garage. No leaks. Is it normal?

I had this problem last week 06 RK...the fix was a new fuel valve. $40 at the dealer. I had an extra and thought it would be eaiser to just swap out O rings on the inside from on to the other. NOT A CHANCE!!!!!! I was so pissed off by the second hour I went to the dealer and bought another. Come to find out there is no rebuidl kit for these. You have to buy the whole assembly. AND..... there is a o clamp that goes on the fuel pump on the inside of the tank that is not included in the KIT..8mm BTW. Also the only way to access the fuel pump is to remove the plate under your center console. there are I beleive 8 or 10 screws that hold that plate to the tank. You will need to purchase new ones as they are one time only use cheap though. They have a plastic crush gasket on each one.

Well I can sell you a rebuild kit !.. I actually asked here if there was any demand and really got no answer.. redlight125 Im gonna have to be a dick here and not give the name of the company anymore as they wont give you any info anyway and they basically screwed me out of my job.. Pm me with your email and I can give you all the info with sketches and scan of the parts and o-rings in question. This is for anyone that wants or needs the info... I havent been on the board much so I missed some of this thread. Really the info and I have some o-rings if needed are free ... Pray for spring also this snow sucks

Thanks for responding. I'm new to this so don't really know how to track and find posts. It took me about 30 mins to find this and then wasn't sure you would have responded. Thanks again! I've had the same problem a couple times in the last 3 years. The last time was 2 weeks before heading to Austin, TX. form Colorado. The local HD shop wouldn't even come out and pick me up to diagnose it.
Please send me anything that shows how the inside of the Check Valve is put together. I know there should be something to seal the (CV) when the Injector Line is disconnected.
I recently had a new paint job done (because of Sturgis Hail Damage) and the painter changed one of the Check Valves. Now I think I have an air leak and need to check fuel pressure.
Hopefully, I can find this post again if you reply. You don't know how much I appreciate this. I've looked everywhere to find that check valve!
