I have a question about how to go along with solving the following problem...
"A sample of gas occupies a volume of 50.0 milliliters in a cylinder with a movable piston. The pressure of the sample is .90 atmosphere and the temperature is 298 K. What is the volume of the sample at STP?"
The answer sheet for this problem said the answer was 41 mL, but I can't seem to get it. I have tried using the formula PV = nRT but every time I get 45 mL or some other odd answer. Could anybody please help me solve this problem? Thanks! =)
Thank you for your help! Now I see what I was doing wrong before...
