I would guess the "bobber" in the gas tank is stuck! Might have to get someone to drain it go from there. 1992 was free from many of those sensors that created so many problems!

Sounds like a stuck float in the tank. Sometimes, but very rare the sender will go bad and do that, but I would bet the float is stuck.

Sometimes you can get to it via a plate in the floorboard just over the tank, or you will have to drop it to get to it, (bee careful a 3/4 full tank is very heavy, assume about 8.3 pounds per gallon. 12 gallons will be about 100 pounds.

My gas gauge always reads 3/4 full unless I have more than that in it then it will work from full to 3/4 of a tank. What is wrong with it & how do I fix it?

It could be the gauge that's bad or the float inside the fuel tank is bad,it could have just flip up side down, you will need to drop the fuel tank in order to fix.
