Garth Brooks was, is, and always will be the greatest country singer

firemen, police departments, health professionals were impacted directly by the tragedy.

Alan Jackson saw an opprotunity to pull on some heart strings, write a cheezy ass melodramatic homage to the whole thing and get a #1 hit... not based on the merits of the song, but on the climate of the times... he exploited a tragedy, plain and simple.

had he give profits from the song to charity, or something like that, fine... but... no. he did it to make money, plain and simple.

I have not bought any thing new...country wise for years now. The country genre is just getting to "popish" for me. County music's past is where it's at.

why not?

I dislike his music AND the way he makes his money.

we've already talked about those aspects of him. you derailed the conversation with moral discussions and what I am and am not allowed to like/dislike...
