Eh, yeah, that probably is the intended point, although Amuro's negative development is debatable...to me he becomes a better person even though he has a healthy (unhealthy?) opposition to Char. It's not like Kamille is portrayed as perfect either. I'm just wary of youth getting all the praise, because what happens to that mentality when somebody turns 30? "Oh crap, I'm part of the problem now! It's all over! Nothing I watched ever told me about this part!" You get the idea.

In 00 several types of people show capacity for change both good and bad, which is basically the closest thing to reality.
 
Except that one of the things in Zeta Gundam I hated the most. The fact that the characters cound be so petty and hypocritical at times really upset me. It fact by the end of the series, I was kind of wishing Scirocco and Haman would win because at lest they were looking at the big picture and had plans for the future unlike Kamille and the rest of the AEUG who just wanted to beat the Titans
 
Well, it's not like Kamille and company are visionists. They're soldiers, all they care about is surviving and going home to their loved ones. Ultimately, that's what seperated Char and Amuro, that sense of trying to forcibly change humanity at too quick a pace (and from a position of absolute power), in CCA.
 
Geez, you finish one series, you start an epic philosophical debate on morality. Ah, Gundam...

"Anime ja nai! (anime ja nai) Anime ja nai! (anime ja nai)" I'm not sure whether or not these are the most awesome or craziest lyrics I've ever heard. And it's got a kicking beat too! (I think it's up there with King Gainer's OP song)
Actually, I saw five episodes. That was enough to make me go "Okay, I'm gonna watch this later.

Okay, let me stop you right here. A few pages back, HC makes a joke about Cagalli's magic reflective paint. And that's just one issue that still talked about. Plus, I didn't have to force myself to finish Zeta and was very anxious to how it ended. I didn't identify or connect with a few of the characters in Zeta but it was at least better than disliking pretty much everybody in Destiny (Yes, I didn't like Destiny Cagalli. Life's a *****. It's not like it's changing you guys' opinion of her). Sure a lot of decisions in Zeta are durab. That much is true, but it at least wasn't a trainwreck of epic proportions. Oh and I don't see any "Jesus Kamille" jokes anywhere around.


I see it as a great drama and war story. Though nihilistic? While I can maybe sort of see what you mean...okay, honestly, I don't really see Zeta as nihilstic. Destructive somewhat and contradicting sure. But nihilistic? That's somewhat overboard for something like this.
