garfield15's journey through the UC.

Well, now that I finished Gundam X (Why must these things end?!) and finished my uncut G Gundam DVD's (Again, WHY?) I have officially watched everything AU Gundam!

....Wait, what? What do you mean you don't achieve spiritual ascension if you do that?! Then what did I waste 10 years of my life for!?

Just kidding. Anyway, I am now ready to travel to the beginning and watch everything! (dun dun duuuuuun) Plus, I might as well familiarize myself with the UC what with Unicorn coming out.

Now, I was going to get the DVD's off Netflix but they're dub only and I heard that Swaille's Amuro was the only good voice so I'll just stick with getting the movies off Netflix instead since its compilation and all that (unless there's some finer details they take out that are important later) I shall keep posting my thoughts and stuRAB and rarablings.

(Ahh, so that's the Bright Slap. "You hit me! Not even my own father hit me!" Then what was that you were doing to Frau at the beginning?)

EDIT: I kind of giggled when Char's guys freaked out at seeing a beam laser for the first time.

Still on Movie 1 here but I'm almost done.

Something to point out

-My god, Char really is a manipulative jerk isn't he? Leaving Garma to die like that. BTW,

Icelia: "What is it father?"
Father: "Garma's (her fiance) dead."
Me: Wow, subtle much?

-Okay, where the heck is Amuro getting this logic that his mother doesn't love him? I mean, okay he shot a guy so I can see him freaking out about it but how does that somehow translate to "YOU DON'T LOVE ME! BAWWWWWW!" It makes no sense.

From what I've seen so far when he was a child, it was more of...

Amuro's Dad: "I'm going into space with Amuro. Come with us."
Mom: "Sorry, I just can't"
Dad: "'Kay bye."

Actually, I believe it's the case that his mother was having an affair (see the guy watching White Base leave with her) and Tem going to work in space was just a tidy way to get rid of her past life. Her disgust at Amuro seems genuine, but she's not a saint either. You could say she's probably a lousy mother who has these ideal memories of her sweet little boy...the reality of Amuro's situation shatters that.

Originally, the novels were like "director's cuts" of the series but Sunrise released like all the usual CD's, etc. to lulz it out of canon.

Nothing worse than getting killed by a grunt.

Okay Movie 2 is here.

-BTW, from the previous movie, Oooooh, so that's the infamous "No Zaku" comment. I heard they actually kept it like that in the dub.
-I kind of like Amuro's 'fro hair.
-Why does everybody call Frau by her full name all the time? Just imagine if they did that with Cagalli, it would be annoying as heck ("Can you get that Cagalli Yula Attha?" "This isn't enough Cagalli Yula Attha.")
-Hey! That's where they got the name "Gallop" from Turn A! You know it's gotten to the point that anytime I have a question about Turn A, it's probably something from this series.
-Sayla's....actually kind of awesome.
"If you escape I'll call the guarRAB." (She proceeRAB to call the guarRAB anyway)

You know, I really don't think that using a bazooka at that close range is ever a good idea even if it is to catch a prisoner.

-RYU-SAAAAAAAANNNN! (sobs)

-You know, I love how like 1/3 of the second movie somehow became "The Kai Show." This isn't exactly a bad thing as the character has started to grow on me but then I had realized I had gone like 20 minutes without seeing Amuro I do feel sorry for him though, what with what happened to Miharu and all.

-Kai: "Wait, I just heard a civilian ship just landed! If that's not them (Zeon spies) you'd never be able to communicate by radio!"
Me:

-As much as those three kiRAB (Katz, Letz, Kikka) somewhat annoy me, I did think that it was pretty cool that they were able to actually find the borabs and get them off the mass-produced units. They've really grown on me since the beginning when I thought "My god, are they still on the ship?"

-Yay, I've completed 2/3 of the series!

Oh, you're watching subs? That explains it, never mind.

The biggest difference between the LA cast and Ocean is British Bright and Blum Char.

And awkward pronunciations.

"I'll pilot Gun-damn if I have to!"

"It's you, Sha!"
