Gardening soil in place of potting soil?

I made the mistake of purchasing a giant bag of garden soil today as opposed to potting soil. Is it alright to use this in the potted plants I have outside, if I mix it with the present soil when I re pot the plants? Mostly Lilies, and a few others I never got to see, but they're alive and I would like to keep them that way.

Yes, I'm sure it's ok, but you'll need [not sure what there called] those little white beads, they keep the soil wet longer. Good Luck
