my radishes have outstanding top growth but no radishes, just a long string for a root. What kind of fertilizer do I need to encourage root growth?

i live in Idaho and never had that problem. It is way hot for them now. I would just pull and replant and see how they do. Remember to take scissors and thin them some.

Radishes are cool weather plants. When it gets warm (soil temperature above 70 degrees or if grown in a warm spot, like on the south side of the house), they "bolt" and go to seed. No bulb, just a tall woody stem. They grow best in the early spring or fall, or in a spot that is shaded from afternoon sun. Water twice a week and fertilize when you plant with a full-range (Morgro 16-16-16) garden fertilizer from C-A-L Ranch.
