I recently moved from the east coast to Berkeley, CA about a year ago. I now have a new home and would like to work on the landscaping, garden, etc. However...the weather here is very different from where I grew up in NYC. Notably, there are only two seasons here...summer and winter. In the summer it doesn't rain for months at a time, in the winter it rains every day.
Can you give me any tips on gardening in CA given the weird seasons? My mother used to always plant everything in the spring, but I don't know if the seasons line up here.
