Hello!
I've recently moved into a new house this year, and I dug out a garden in the front lawn. The soil here is mainly clay. It's mucky when wet and as hard as concrete when dry. I've tilled the soil, and added manure, as well as topsoil. The soil is in pretty decent shape right now.
My main question is, what kind of plants should I consider for this garden? It gets sun in the afternoon. I would like something with more foliage than flowers. So, variations in texture and colour.
What plants should I look at? Will they tolerate the clay soil? How much sun do they require?
Thankyou so, so much for any advice or tips!
David.
