I Have a riding lawnmower that runs just fine, but when I am done using it I have to disconnect the battery cable or it will drain and be dead the next day. I now it is not the battery because i bought the battery new, and took it back to replace it thinking it was the battery. If I disconnect it it will stay charged. Can someone please help by telling me what is draining it . Please, Thanks a lot.

Take a look at all of the wiring, follow all of it to it's end. Look for burnt or broken wires, and repair them accordingly. Something has gone to ground. Most likely the engine does have a generator or alternator. If it didn't you'd only get a few starts out of a battery.

you have a direct short in the system somewhere. I would replace the cables and see if that helps

There is a bad ground somewhere that causes it to short out and since the engine doesn't have an alternator it drains the battery.
