i normally wouldn't buy a cd of a soundtrack to a movie....but i have one now for 'garden state'....it's wonderful....:).....

It isn't about the fact that it is original(which you are right the subjects in it aren't because well they are life subjects that everyone deals with) what makes this film special is that there is this earnest wonderful life to it. I watch indie films and sometimes they bore the crap out of me because they do that we don't feel anything, you feel emotion for us as the audience crap. I hate that sometimes. I want to see you feel as a character I want to feel with you not against you. And I loved that no one was afraid to feel to be silly to be human in the film. I loved that Zach Braff wasn't afraid to write that.

That's what makes the film so special and "life-altering" for so many people. It is human and personally I think a lot of films never really get that down, even indie ones. I love movies all shapes and sizes but this movie is just one of those that you watch and you walk out feeling enlightened, even for the simple fact that you know that there are people who feel just like you.

I haven't watched the movie in so long. The soundtrack is awesome I could listen to it anytime.

Garden State is the best movie soundtrack I've ever heard. Now that it's opening wider, maybe I'll be able to see it a second time. For some reason, the first time I saw it, I cried a little bit. Not enough for a tissue, but I did find myself tearing up at certain scenes. Am I the only one who was like this?

Must buy it. I seriously reccomend that movie to buy. One of the best and deepest movies I've seen. If only I could, I'd buy the movie myself. But well, it's off limit to me.

For some reason I wasn't expecting to like this movie, but I really loved it. I thought Natalie was amazing. And kudos to Zach. Making a movie that's totally true to your vision is really hard to do.

This is my all time favorite film. I love every second of it. Also the soundtrack is infectious. :)

:rotfl: Oh God, that entire scene was so unbearably hilarious! When he woke up with that on his head and then the night walked by the doorway... Jeez, I seriously almost peed my pants!

I've seen this movie three times and it's now officially my favorite. Absolutely genius. It was extremely realistic and so subtly funny. I started crying when Let Go started to play. I've never cried during a movie that wasn't a dramatic musical (music gets me...). Never. It was brilliant. The soundtrack is amazing--it turns out the company didn't make enough for the public demand and now it's getting harder to get your hands on any. We have one soundtrack and I'm trying to get another one for myself.

It re-emphasized that we should all be proud of our eccentricites just as Sam was, she was the best!

You can watch it over and over again on the website. It just makes you incredibly antsy to see the movie, but it's all good fun.

ita....imo....the most important thing, in considering what life has to answer, is knowing what you like and what you don't like....

kristina, those icons rock!

I sooo agree here

How could it not! Great, now I want to go watch it again :P

Same here :) I think I can practically memorized the trailers before the notebook because I saw them so many times.
