Ok, so I have a 75 gallon garden pond in the front for about 5 years, and about 4 1/2 of those years, it's been overrun by green and red algae. It's all in the bottom, and floats on the top. No plants will live in it, but the fish seem fine. I have 4 Koi's and 2 algae eaters. I have drained the pond a few times and cleaned it out, let water flow in it til it was clear, clean out the filter everyday, bought a new super duper filter, and am using many different algae treatments, but still nothing is working. Is it because of the size? I havbe a large garden pond around back, around 500 gallons, and it is as clear as a bell, never had a problem. I can't find large algae eaters either, just one inch ones, which are not making any difference. Do I need more fish, any kind of treatments you have used that work and won't kill fish, filter suggestions, anything?
