garden lights?

we have 5 garden lights one near our door and 4 near our pool. 2 days ago i went outside and the light near the door was on but the 4 near the pool were really dim. then i noticed a night later that when they first turn on they work for half an hour and then go really dim. it gets really cold outside could this be doing something or what could be the problem?
hi sorry they are 12volt electric.
 
I assume they are solar???? Sounds like the batteries are not charging well. How old are the lights? The cold weather will make it harder for them to work, but it is also possible that the batteries have gone bad.
 
You did say if they were solar powered or off the mains, but if they are solar, it could be the batteries deciding to pack it in, the cold weather could also be a factor, for some reason batteries seem to die far more readily in winter. you should be able to buy replacements at most hardware stores or electrical places, hope that helps
