I would like to know the name of a plant that is growing near my house. I am on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I have seen them in Brisbane too.
It has long grass-like leaves (that i think are tubular rather than flat) and has purple flowers. It has a very distinctive smell - I can smell it before I can see it. I don't think the smell is from the flower, it is not a perfume as such. Its more like a strong leafy smell.
Any ideas?
