I just cleaned out the garage 2 weeks ago and there were no signs of anything (no mouse droppings, etc.) I just went in there and saw that the window frame (made out of wood) looks like something is chewing away at it. Imagine chipping on a piece of wood really hard with a paint scraper..that's what it looks like. The window was fine 2 weeks ago (and I think even last week when I was in there because I definitey would have noticed the damage then!) and the wood is freshly ate away at because the wood is that new-wood color (fresh, light color).
I have seen squirels and chipmunks in our yard lately, but only something as small as a chipmunk could actually get in the garage through a couple of very small holes.
Could it be a chipmunk? Or something else?
