Gantz Talkback *Manga Spoilers*

well, its been a while, but a few interesting things have happened in the last few chapters, most important of all of them, THERES A FRIGGIN GANTZ BALL FACTORY IN GERMANY........ yeah.

latest chapter was nice, the old man deciding to live together with Kaze and the kid and all. Pretty sweet how Kato met the original Kishimoto, she's like "re you trying to pick me up", and hes like "umm no............. no wait! yes, i am trying to pick you up", that's some pick up strategy, maybe Inaba should take lessons from him, since he struck out with Reika yet again.

So, taking all bets-- did that investigative reporter guy REALLY just get into the Gantz factory on the sly by bribing a German otaku with moe DVRAB, or is whoever's behind the whole thing planning to kill him before he can get the word out? Or do they figure nobody will believe him anyway? Or have they decided to go public and figure this is as good a way as any?

I'm a big fan of Ganta....well, at least the manga anyways. I haven't even bothered with the anime, aside from the abridged series (which is a great parody, and my 2nd favorite abridged series, BTW).

That said, I must agree with the TC that the story did not really pick up until after the BT arc. However, I must say that I am really surprised at how Kurono, who I originally hated, became such a likable character with the amount of development that he got.

**spoilers ahead**

One thing that has seriously pissed me off was how dragged out that one boss fight was in the last arc. I mean, I thought that the fight from the end of phase 1 was long enough, but this one tops that on all counts. While I thought it was kind of cool, with its DBZ-ish sort of feel of an enemy that's nearly invincible, it also really annoyed me, as it ended up leading to a lot of pointless action scenes and gore that were kind of cool, but also got kind of boring after a while, since its not as much fun to see action in a manga, as it is to actually see it animated. At any rate, I'm glad that the manga has now gotten back to the live's of the characters, and is not progressing the overall story, but so far, the last few chapters have only brought up far more questions than answers. In fact, I just read chapter 285, and I must say that I am really disappointed in how it literally did almost nothing to progress the story, or answer any questions.

Still, I've really been enjoying this manga, and I do hope that we get to see even more great development with the story and characters. I just hope that the next arc is the final one, and that it doesn't drag on forever, like the previous one did, espeically not on just one insanely over the top boss fight.

its probably the latter, if they wanted t kill him they surely wouldn't have to go through the trouble of bringing him there, with their Gantz technology they could take him out easily, and itd be hard for people not to believe him if he had pics AND knew the location of the place.

the thing with the moe DVD's, well, beats me.

well, just read chapter 286, so, since Reika cant have this Kurono, her plan is to get 100 points to revive him again, while the current ones still alive, in other worRAB make another copy of Kurono for herself, yeah, obssesion runs deep in this girl, i have no doubt that she dies before the end of this manga.

The funny thing is that, for some odd reason, when I first read the end of this chapter, in which she said that, I ended up thinking that she planned to go psycho and kill Kurono....and then revive him again, or something like that....yeah, I don't know where I came up with that, or what I was thinking at the time, but I still do believe it can now be said for sure that Reika is kind of a psycho.

New chapter, and dude, Nishi is going murder those guys, did you see how they were freaking out after he got up, that was just awesome, and what do you know, he did kill a cat (for some reason i see a lot of people debating whether hes ever killed a cat or not, hopefully itl end now). "Not a single one of you better leave that room!!" lol.

So I'm wondering how Nishi survived that fall without (seemingly) so much as a scratch. Any time he's been wearing the Gantz suit under his clothes up until this point, you've still been able to see the gloves and part of the collar. Does he have some new tech that I don't know about?

i figure he's got the suit on and you just can't tell for some reason. Although I half-expected this was a flasrabroadack and we were seeing how he was killed and ended up in Gantz, but guess it wasn't.

Dude, as far as we know Nishi's never reached 100 points, so im going to say his lack of visible suit is an error on Oku's part, it wouldn't be the first time either, if you notice back in the Osaka arc, Kuwabara's Goatee seemed to disapear and reapear randomly, and in the same arc Host Samurai's Tie just disapeared once too and also Host Samurais Cigaret NEVER seems to runs out, and like how NKG (Nobuo, Kuwabara, & George) were busting out X-Guns and SworRAB when they dint even have anything in their suit pockets before (The weapons appeared out of nowhere), and that time when Kuwabara was raping that alien, his pants were there on one panel of that scence and just vanished in another panel of the same moment in a later chapter (coincidentally, that was the same moment where his Goatee disappeared too).

Oku just doesnt pay enough attention.

I just read the chapter....Dang! KiRAB these days are so darn violent!

Seriously, do they have parents....were they all raised by Yakuza, or something like that? People seem to behave pretty strangely in Gantz, as I find it hard to believe that this is how the average Japanese middle-schoolers would act, even towarRAB a kid that they hate.

Well, anyways, I never actually thought that I'd feel sorry for a character like Nishi. I guess now I can sort of realize why he hates people in general.

Definitely. Kurono and Kato look like they are college students, IMO. I have no idea why the character designs in Gantz seem to make teenagers look a lot older than they really are. It reminRAB me of Battle Royale, in which some of the teenagers look like adults in their mid-30's.

another surprise!, Nishi gets saved by the teleport at the last moment, i bet you guys he dies during this mission.

also, what are the odRAB all those people Nishi killed end up in the Gantz room, you know, that he pulled an Izumi, sort of.

So read 290 which seems to be set-up for the next mission, not much happens

The little preview text for the next mission talks about them being in a foreign land with various Gantz players from all over the world. The city looks kind of European to me with the small streets and close buildings. Perhaps Italy or France.

Speaking of the whole younger than they look trend, they purposely did this for the sake of parody in Project A-ko, I mean Mari looks like a 40 year old Kenshiro cosplaying as a teenage schoolgirl

But, yeah good point Kurono does look like a college student

Hah, looks like the end of the world has already started, Inaba's breaking down, either he dies in this mission hopelessly OR he finally grows some balls........ and then dies (I wouldn't be surprised).

I just stated reading the Gantz manga recently and I have a question about the Leet Alien (the one that killed the students in Kurono's class). Kurono said just before he killed the alien it was staring at him strangely. Does this play a factor in later chapters? I'm up to chapter 190 and it doesnt seem like it will.
