Gang trouble

Thats a good idea. Unless you get a carrier's permit, if anyone caught you with a gun on you, there could be a panic. People get that way around guns. And the excuse, "I was robbed by a bunch of black gangsters" won't work with the police without a permit to carry. Keeping a gun at home for home protection is perfectly legal, but carrying it without a permit is not. Besides, if it happened only once, I wouldn't worry, unless you live in a really bad neighborhood. If that, I would get a knife.

$20 isn't worth a hole in your head. best thing is to learn how they operate and be aware of your surroundings. If I'm walking in a dangerous neighborhood, I'll buy something in a glass bottle to drink as I walk. A glass bottle in your hand is usually enough reason for them to look for easier prey. If they are so hard up for cash, they usually can't afford bullets or a real gun.

Wow, this has to be the first time I've ever actually disagreed with kre8or, but having grown up around the thug life I have to say don't get a fucking tazer. These guys are petty criminals that seem like they would do what's neccisary to pull off what they want, and probably hooked on the same shit that they're slinging. Which is also probably why they held you up for the $20. Walking a different route home isn't a good idea because these guys rule an area that I'm sure your house is within reach from any direction. The problem with a gun or tazer is that you still have to take the time to pull it out. These guys would definitely have the time to move out of the way, and you could only shoot one at a time. Plus, with a tazer the barbs hook into the person so you're stuck after shocking the first perp. And in that time the other guys are more than likely to be all over you.

Self-defense classes are an alright idea, but that's only if you're not really in danger at the time and you want to learn to defend yourself in the future. Real life is not a Karate Kid movie where you can go through just a few weeks of training and be ready to take on the world. It takes at least a couple years with having a proper attitude, to learn how to have the proper discipline to defend yourself in a situation with multiple opponents. Take it from me, I've been studying martial arts for the last 17 years, I do have a little experience in what it takes. Calling the cops is usually not a good idea either, simply because of the fact that it will spell nothing but retaliation from the other gang members for you and your family.

Walking home with friends of yours isn't a good idea, because then it would seem to the gangsters that you are looking for a rumble and then there could be twenty of them and not just three. The only proper thing you could do in this situation is to talk with your parents, and ask them not to really not get involved in the situation but to see if they could in any way possible give you a ride home during that time frame. And if that's not possible, then I'm sure you have friends that either ride home with their parents or have their own car. You could ask them if it's cool if you ride with them for a little while until things seem safe for you.

I have a feeling that it may not happen again. More than likely these guys had to get an extra $20 to their superiors so then they wouldn't get caught skimming off the top, so it seems like it could have been anyone that got held up like that... not just you. But you can't be 100% sure so take a little advice from me and ask your parents or one of your friends for a ride home for a little while. I'm sure it all will work out for the better.

Actually, I would have prefered more details. What were they wearing? How were they positioned? How old were they? Were the big or small in size? Crackheads or bouncers? To Frog, their race was a factor in the situation, but he didn't resort to any racial slurs or other offending phrases. One day, I was robbed in my grocery store in the Bronx. The responding police officers asked me, "Was he black or Spanish?" It bothered me a little that they were surprised when I said it was a white Irish guy. So I understand where you're coming from, but there's no need to be that defensive.

I see that most people here have asked him to buy a gun. Where I live, getting a gun is nearly impossible unless you're a military personnel. Also, is it really that easy to get away after shooting somebody? I mean... fucking hell, you just shot somebody

lol "get a gun". First of all, if they pull a gun on you, how the fuck do you think you're gonna be able to pull out yours. Second, if they don't pull a gun, and you pull one and don't shoot them, you have to move away like the minute you come back home. And if you do shoot them, you're in fucking trouble because they didn't pull out their gun. So all in all, getting a gun is a stupid idea.

What you should have done was agree to buy some... then pretend to look for your wallet and then pretend you cant find it.

"sorry brother, but i presently dont have any currency with me at the moment."

say those exact words.

Number 1, you shouldnt live in the ghetto if you cant handle it.

Number 2, What would you do if they were white? I think your racist.

Just because black men come and rob you with cocaine does not mean their gang members kthnx.

BTW, I'm not black I'm a fence jumper.

I hope they kill you kthnx.

Can I watch? I like to stab. BTW, where do you live?

Who are you to talk about me? You know nothing of me or where I came from! you quote my entire post and then that's all you responded with? You could at least have told me that I'm wrong and then attempt to explain how you "think" you're right. I hate those fucking hood movies, they're so fucking wrong in their portrayals of how it is. Why the hell do you think I live in hickville USA now? I had to get away from how it really is down there in So. Cal. I had to deal with fuckers like the ones he was explaining... right in our own crew.

Next time you feel that you're so educated on something adversed to what I say, be my guest and tell me how. Don't sit there and ramble about me when you have no idea what I've been through. And don't post in all caps again because that's just fucking ugly.
