Gaming laptop or apple laptop for high school and college?

i have a tough decision.....
im really into games and i decided to get me a gaming laptop...the samsung r780...
but in high school and college, my mom said ill need a good laptop like those expensive apple laptops
she said she'll upgrade the computer and let me buy an itouch...
oh and im really good in art and i wanna major in something in art...IM ALSO HAVING MY 8TH GRADE PROMOTION 2MORROW :D
 
Well the first thing I have to say to that is that there is no way one laptop will last through both high school and college. High school students don't really need a notebook though so I'd suggest a cheaper computer now and a nicer unit, like a MacBook pro for college. I am starting college in august and will be buying a mac. Never had a laptop in high school
