GameStop resupplied on PS3, Wii v. where the fuck are they then

Retailer tells analysts both Sony and Nintendo have already delivered their second shipments of newly released consoles, talks tie ratios of both.
 
The local Gamestop in my area...North Dartmouth, Mass said they'd have Wiis on Black Friday. But I have to be at work at 7am & they open at 7
 
Darweeezy, what city and gamestop did you talk to? Anybody have ideas on how many they'll be putting up for sale? Everytime I call one, they say "We don't know".
 
Costco just gave me the run around, first said they won't have them until after the holidays, and then said they got the first shipment with no notice and without it being added to their computer stocking system, that it went from the truck to the floor, and the employees didn't even know it was there () then she said they got a notice they won't be getting any more.
 
So I just tested the theory that bb/eb is holding onto systems until black friday.

I am 100% positive they had them at our eb (I saw one) so I asked if the guy knew when they were getting another shipment..

"I have no idea man... but make sure you come back friday morning"

What the fuck.
 
yeah when the costco girl said "we won't have one until after the holidays" I said, "Oh, so you're selling them on black friday then?" and she kinda clammed up for a second
 
Can someone explain the point of holding them till black friday?

Does it just make them look really good or what?

Wouldn't it have the same effect if they were sold out
 
I just don't get how irritating your customers by telling them false information is good buisness. Atleast if you're going to sell them on friday, say you can't sell them till friday and be done with it.

I usually shop at EB/gamestop, but if I find a wii elsewhere, then fuck them.
 
soccer moms and mostly misinformed consumers shop on black friday; holding onto the systems until that date allows to retailer to prey on their ignorance and sell the items they really make profits off of (extended warranties, useless accessories).
 
I've basically given up on trying to find a Wii around here. All the Gamestops and Costco are giving me the work-around. And there is no way in hell I'm going to wait on Friday morning, I don't think I'm desperate enough. This is fucking ridiculous, fuck those corporate fags.
