Gamespot article comparing PS3 to 360 graphics on Multiplatform games

Am I the only one that thinks PS2 graphics were better than Xbox? Metal Gear Solid 3 is one of the best looking games I have ever played... period. Console or PC. That game looked, sounded and played amazingly.
 
PS3 is also supporting yellow dog linux. it's going to open doors. a lot of them. when they said "much more than a gaming machine", they meant it.
 
I don't go by these, and I am a fan of both systems.

Reasoning....Right now, 360 is 12 months ahead of PS3, in a year, the PS3 will be at the year mark, and the 360 will be at the 2 year mark.

The onyl real way to tell which is better would be to compare a 360 game NOW, with a PS3 game in a YEAR.

Or if they were launched at the same time.
 
a year from now when the ps3's graphics are supperior to the 360's, I predict their fanboys' new excuse, "It better have better graphics for the price!"
 
meh, launch titles on systems have USUALLY not been that great. it makes me laugh that everyone bags on the ps3 when it's only been out for less than a fucking month. what do you expect? like someone said earlier, i'm system neutral, i just prefer sony. it's something that has never failed me, so i put my trust in it. all systems have pros and cons. my wireless shit fucked up on my ps3 and i had to go three days without one until i got my new one for free. whereas my friend's 360 froze about three times in an hour while over at his place playing gears of war. systems are going to have bugs or some shit that someone else dislikes about it. oh fucking well, you like your system? good. leave it at that.
 
Give the PS3 1 year. Graphics are going to improve.

Take a look at a shitty PS2 launch title and compare it to a game 1 year later, its an incredible difference.

Designing a game for the PS3 is said to be much harder than the PS2, just give the developers time.

and having said that, the PS2 managed to almost triple the Xbox sales figure even though the graphics werent anywhere near as good
 
PS3 has more unharnessed power than the xbox360. I'm sure the COD developers were facing two avenues of development one being difficult (PS3) and the gravy train to easy street (360, guaranteed sales, many consoles out...etc)
 
I was a Sony fanboy until the PS3 came out. It's just not as impressive as it should be, they're trying to get into the whole entertainment package and should focus on console gaming.
 
8-10 means Jack shit. when you sell out 50+ in a store like other products do and have, then maybe you've accomplished something. again, The Wii Spanked the holy fuck and Continues To spank the PS3 numbers, Refer to my list post for some of the reasons why. And you are right, Dells Suck MAJOR Cock.
 
I love my ps3, enjoyed the 360 before that, and love the Wii the most out of all of them. Microsoft better have more than FPS titles to try and win this one... The graphics talk, the blu ray disses, and price whine just seem like mere excuses from ms fanboys to deter gamers from actually choosing. You like your 360 so much? Go play it! Why take the time to bash the Wii's and the Ps3's.... these threads get so old.
