Gameboy Help!?

When I turn on my gameboy, and play pokemon fire red, It works just fine. However, sometimes it just acts like there is no game inseted. Normaly, this wouldnt bother me, but I do not want to play pokemon, level all of my pokes to lvl 100, and then have all the data erased cuz of a bad game... Is this a possibilty? Could this happen cuz of what i described above? Please help ASAP.
 
sometimes you have to pull the game out a little instead of having it fully in.
 
oh this is a glitch thats in ALOT of pokemon games...like in the older version like blue and red this happens all the time. but i say just blow in the game really hard so you get all the dust out
 
no i dun think so i think u need to whip all the dust out and blow it more i think it only erase wen u hack or put in water
