Gallbladder?

OK. Yesterday afternoon while I was at school I began to feel a bit ill. My stomach started hurting and my back was hurting uncontrollably. It got to the point where I couldn't breath let alone stand up. I didn't want to go to the hospital but I decided its better safe than sorry, I guess. So they call a fucking ambulance to come pick me up. School had just ended so I had my daughter with me and the front of the school was packed with kids. I really didn't want the ambulance to come like that but I didn't have much of a choice.
Anyways, I spend like 6 hours at the hospital for them to tell me there's somethign wrong with my gallbladder. FanFUCKINGtastic. They put me on Morphine last night to make the pain stop..:laugh3: . I felt all sorts of weird. They gave it to me in an I.V. drip and it was on an empty stomach YAY! So now, I had to stay home from school (not so bad) just in case it happens again. They also put me on 3 meds. Vicodin, cipro and an ANAL med for nausea. HA, like I'm going to take and anal med. no thanks.
They told me to avoid moving around and stuff too much but I have a baby, so this fucking sucks. It just means it will last longer and Ill look like shit the entire time due to lack of sleep. Speaking of sleep, I must try to catch some Zs, empty stomach+meds= kicking my ASS.
So while I sleep I leave with this question; Anyone else ever had something wrong with their GB?

Gallbladder, not good. Hope they caught it soon enough that you won't have to have it removed. They sometimes can break them up with sound waves. Good Luck. I wouldn't let them dick you around for more money. Tell them to take care of them. Either break them up or remove the gallbladder all together. Gallstones don't get smaller on their own. So talk to your doc, find out your options, and get this handled.

My Grandmother had gallstones, it was so painfull to eat. Everytime she ate it was horrible pain. Once removed, she could eat anything.

If you call your state child services and explain that you are in a lot of pain and need someone to help you with the baby for a few hours they will. I don't know about your state, but if you are a sick or injured mother in ours they will pay someone to come into your home for a few hours a day and help you so you can get rest.

I hope you feel better. I know how it sucks to be injured with kids and stuff.

Thanks. It doesn't hurt to eat. So i'm not too sure what it is. I'm very tired though.
I do have some help with the baby. A few of my close friends. They were really upset at me lately, but I know I deserved it. Maybe this is just natures way of telling me I'm a bitch and that I need to suffer? I don't know. I just hope it goes away soon.

When I was 19 I found out I had gallstones.
For weeks I was throwing up, had a hurt back, and overall felt awful. I went to the hospital they thought I was crazy - but this one doctor came in pressed on my right side and I almost hit the roof. They took an ultrasound of the area and found it had stones so I had to have it removed.

The removal of the gallbladder wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's outpatient surgery meaning after you feel well enough to leave you can. Now having surgery isn't a picnic -your insides feel abused and you are really tired from the medicine - but after 2-3 days you are almost back to normal. I have three (maybe 4) tiny scars from it - because now a days they use lasers, and they used those butterfly stiches on me.

The only problem I have now is sometimes if I don't eat I get a terrible pain in my right side but after a cracker or something the pain goes away. Not sure if this happens to anyone else - but thats all the problems I noticed after it.

My mom had hers done about 5 years ago and she was slower to recover maybe because of her age or just some of her overall problems - but everything is fine now.

From what I heard - if your gallbladder is acting up they just auto-remove it because you don't need it to live.

Thanks.
Maybe I should just have them remove it.
It would probably make me feel better. The pain is mostly in my left side, it sucks.
I still have to have the ultrasound done though. I couldn't get through to radiology yesterday in order to make the appointment so I'm thinking maybe I'll just walk in there and say that it's a fucking emergency.
By the way, do you know if you can die if they don't catch the shit in time??
