So I live in an older row home. My house is about 100 years old and while I am not directly connected to the homes on either side I am still connected. I live a pretty quiet life as I don’t have people over, I don’t party, I don’t play music loudly – hell I don’t even have a dog but the one thing I do is park my car on the street in front of my house.
For those of you in the know in the northeast unless you have off street parking quite typically you are parking on the street so this is common. Usually it doesn’t cause a problem unless its wintertime and people start shoveling and putting stupid chairs everywhere but today it cause a blow out with my neighbor.
Now let me tell you a little bit about him first – my neighbor doesn’t work, he lives off SSI and more than likely this is because his IQ is below 90. He built a three story garage in his back yard (which you can see from space) and he doesn’t own a car nor does he drive. He’s had a pile of cinderblocks sitting on the sidewalk in between our houses for a good year maybe year and a half because he’s “redoing his basement”. Oh and the best part he’s part of the fire police and is one of those guys that has a scanner and is always listening to it outside on his porch. I am fairly sure he’s afraid of women and doubly afraid of me because he hardly ever talks to me something that I enjoy.
Today my neighbor across the street complained about how we were parking saying we were taking up too many spaces and I decided that she was more than likely right so I parked a little closer to the end of the guy who lives next to tardo neighbor.
Now tardo neighbor and old neighbor are friends so tardo neighbor felt the need to rush out as I was parking my car (he picks when I have my kid with me to do this because I had just picked her up) to start shit with me. “You need to back up, you’re always parking too close to his bumper,” (this was the first day I did this) so I calmly explained the other complaint and I noted old neighbor had plenty of room to get out when tardo neighbor kept on his rant. I was starting to get really pissed and blew up when he said that he could barely get his trashcan outside the other day because of how I parked my car and he was surprised the trash people collected it. My other cool neighbor who lives on the other side of me heard the commotion after tardo neighbor pulled the famous “I pay taxes line”, said, “She pays taxes too and she can park where ever the hell she likes. Why don’t you shut the hell up?”
Did tardo neighbor listen? Oh no he kept on even AFTER I moved my car and concluded with, “I am going to call the borough guy on you,” and at that point I was done and said, “Go ahead because I don’t fucking care,” and went inside my house with him still mumbling about how I was parking too close to old neighbor.
Tl:dr version: People on disability seem to have nothing better to do than to complain about the stupidest shit. I would like to report him for disability fraud because if he can built a three story garage he can get a fucking job.
I can't wait to move.
