I recently got a new laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium as the OS. However, the Windows Sidebar didn't come installed with it for whatever reason. I'm actually glad it didn't, as I probably wouldn't be using it as much as I did with my desktop. However, I want to use a couple gadgets I found useful from my desktop. Instead of downloading the sidebar itself, can I possibly use gadgets without it? This would be similar to the Windows 7 feature. I just don't know if it'll let me utilize the gadget after I install it without a sidebar since I'm using Vista. If it's possible to do this WITHOUT installing the sidebar whatsoever, I'd be grateful for any guide on how to go about it.
Thanks in advance to all replies.
