Gadget Show Appalling Tonight ...... Again

Given that the only thing tech geeks like more than technology is moaning about other people's lack of knowledge about technology, shows like TGS usually get a hard time anyway.

Which isn't to say that it doesn't deserve criticism. A lot of the stuff on the show is pure nonsense, but it is what it is and I still think it's reasonably entertaining fluff for a Monday night.

She has both charm and warmth, anyone who can do a live 3 hour show has to have skill in front of the camera.
As for the apple comments, Jason was tweeting only yesterday how he was sold on Windows 7, why shouldn't they use an iPad? must they use a notebook instead?

There's too much emphasis on the 'challenge' side of things. I'd much prefer this to be just a 15 minute segment of the show and more testing of technology and news to be included instead.

The bit after the first ad where Bentley goes "Now, I want to talk to you about..." is always the highlight of the show. Although quite why they always need to fly to Florida or Dubai etc to test digital cameras is beyond me!

See it's hard to portray sarcasm in text form, so I won't bother :)

If the Gadget Show was doing so terribly, why is it constantly renewed and averages two series' a year ?

Maybe because, as has been said, people continue to watch it even though they hate it.

Here's a thought though, for all the people who apparently hate it so much - STOP WATCHING. That way, the ratings might then go down and you might actually get your wish and the show might be cancelled, or buried in a late night slot somewhere.

Although I imagine if it was buried in a late night slot, you'd still go out of your way to record it just so you could whine about it the next day ..

Perry should have stuck to the Moto GP. They are just a bunch of childish adults, just look at them, I think sometimes and you are how old!! and who is that irritating slap head with the glasses who thinks he's 15 again, and Perry acting like she's a teen, for god sake grow up all of them.
I can see it now....producer saying 'quick Perry.... wear a short skirt again the viewer ratings are dropping' and lets blow up a few more laptops and...and and.....Ooo!! yes I know lets just see how waterproof mobile phones are and have Perry etc.. test them in an Olympic size swimming pool...what larks a! and a note to the director don't forget some lingering shots of Perry under water, er... what are we supposed to be reviewing again..oh yes... phones. :D

Yeah it is weird that, FrienRAB finished years ago why is it channel 4 still put it on around 3 times every day still, I'm bored of it now,

As for the gadget show, I'm still a fan, I like the presenters and think they are a great mix, yeah they get excited about certain things, I think it would get more negative comments if they were miserable all the time and seriously techie. I record it and forward on some of the challenges, think it would be maybe better 45mins show or 30mins long.

I spotted the wee baldy bloke presenter on Oxford street one day. Was having a right pop at a bemused pedestrian that he accused of standing on his foot

Seemed like a right nut job.

Ah! indeed the "wee baldy bloke" yes an apt description, thing is I think he should be tested to destruction as well, having put so many laptops to a ghastly fate, let me see...yes a well placed stick of dynamite in a certain orifice..light the fuse..stand well back and count 1 2 3 4 5 KA BOOM!!! then return with mop and bucket to remove the tested to destruction's remains. Job done, result of test = item not fit for purpose. :D

As with most programmes these days it is twice as long as it should be.

They would be better off just doing reports without the gimmicks in the first half hour and then just have Perry parading in various types of lingerie for the last half an hour - call that last half hour the "play with your gadget show"

Given that the Polly had obviously been working on the show well before it aired (the challenges, etc.) and that RD hadn't bought the channel at the time the programme started again, I completely fail to see how you came to that conclusion

Oh please

Was probably their own machine.

As above.

Technically it was the app that was was No. 3.

Your biased against the product is showing more :p
