Ga-Rei-Zero

It must be a pretty damn strong spirit for barely anyone to notice, it would of been nice to see the fight between her and Kagura's father, from the way things were in the room it didn't look like he had much of a chance.
 
Anyone else saw the similarities between Natsuki Kasuga from Ga-Rei zero and Natsuki Kuga from Mai Hime?

They look, talk, act the same. And most of all their entrance on the bike is identical. Complete with the helmet and shaking hair thing.


Anyway, the first episode had me go WTF. The second had me go WTH and the third made me think why they gave us these first two episodes in the first place. This is something I'll pick up again when it's finished airing probably.

Kagura has been hanging from the mouth of Noriyuki Izuna's big dog thing -- doing the flash back -- for 6 weeks now
 
Episode 07 yeah i was just thinking that this flashback is taking a looong time, although maybe the whole anime is this...either way it's getting pretty good. I'm amazed that everyone with their amazing skills can't tell that Mei is dead and her body is taken over by an evil spirit.
 
I love the way this show was done (although the first episode was a little odd) where they showed us a situation then spent the series leading up to those events, we now know what is going on with Yomi and that Kagura's dad is about to face her and that Noriyuki is alive and wasn't killed by Yomi.

Next ep should be great.
 
I tried watching Ga Rei Zero the other day and after the first three episodes my head simply hurt.

Is this show deliberately supposed to not make any sense at all or did I just miss everything somehow?
 
This series turned out to be quite awesome, confusing at first and with one of the most strangest first episodes ive seen it then shows us what appears to be someone the main characters know (Yomi) killing everyone, it then goes back in time to when Yomi was good and shows us how she came to end up like that, as this is a prequel i only hope they decide to do a Ga Rei anime and show us what happens with Kagura.
 
I'm glad this thread has been started cos I really liked the series but when the first ep still confused me as it seems to have done everyone ^^ Once ytou get to know what IS actually going on it's very cool

What made me carry on watching it was the style in which the evil spirits were drawn TBH. It surprised me how neat some of them looked compared to what i would have expected!
 
After the first episode i was wondering if that was it like a 1 episode OVA, thankfully they had other plans, i think ill start reading Ga Rei manga now.
 
Just finished watching this series. Not bad. It's probably one of the few shows that I actually enjoyed for the fall season. I really liked the development of Romi and Kagura's bond, which made the last episode quite sad.

I wonder if there's going to be an anime based on the actual manga.
 
Episode 10 has brought all the flashbacks and history to the present now. Everything from here on out should be darn good. I don't think she can beat her dad, he's got a more powerful beast and more power from the stone.
