G2x on TMobile

I've got an unlocked LG - P990 / Optimus 2x (Android 2.2.2) - and I'm trying to set up messaging on TMobile - Here's the info I got from TMo. (only my MMS's still aren't going out...

Does anybody have info on unique G2x / P990 Settings for TMobile?

I'm thinking of getting this phone to replace my N1. How do you guys find the signal strength to be? I'm in an area where the coverage is not so hot, but with slightly better strength and wifi calling in my house, I think it could work.

My signal strength is far better then my N1 was. Battery is not as good, however it's a great replacement in general. The TMO reps gave me a different SIM card to replace my old one which came with the G1. No idea if that has any impact.

I read on twitter one of the CM devs got the G2X and got the new sim and it had better reception. I was using a sim card from before the G1 and the new is better.

At the store they called it the "4G" sim (obviously it shouldn't matter), but perhaps it has more efficient storage and such.

Never really thought about that... My SIM is ancient. It's from my super old Blackberry Pearl 8100. When I go into Radio Shack to get my G2x I guess I better make sure they switch me over to the new SIM card. lol
