FX Orders ?Archer?

I just wanted to point out this is from Adam Reed, formerly of 70-30 Productions who did Sealab 2021 and Frisky Dingo for Adult Swim. Which means I am 100% going to watch this.

Well, that was pretty interesting, to say the least.
I like the use of Flash animation, it seems to really fit the style of this show. I'm not sure if I'd watch it all the time, but I might catch a couple of episodes.

Frisky Dingo was possibly the funniest and most well-written series on Adult Swim ever, and the fact this show is going to be directly after It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia makes me hope for the best.

Can someone tell me why Adult Swim doesn't have this? Because this looks like something AS should have.

Ugh.

Hopefully FX treats it right. At least it's behind a popular show so it has a real shot.

Sounds pretty good and I don't mind flash animation myself, I shall see if I can watch it, some times I have a hard time remembering that station.

I doubt Adam Reed is in any hurry to work with Adult Swim, if I'm correct, I believe towards the end of Frisky Dingo there was some sort of falling out, hence why he didn't work on the failed Xtacles spinoff. I could be wrong though, it might have been for reasons completely unrelated, I have faith FX will treat it right, FX nurtured It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia from a show that struggled in ratings initially into one of thier most popular series now.

The bad news is, the show has been pushed back to January instead of October. But there's two pieces of good news. First, the pilot will air Thursday, September 17 (yes, tomorrow) at 10:30PM. The thing is, it will be a stealth premiere, because it's not going to show up in your program listings (mine show the slot as 'To Be Announced'). Anyway, the other good news is that FX has ordered four more scripts. Although that doesn't guarantee four more episodes, it's certainly a good sign.

Why would a channel not advertise a series premiere? Do they want the show to fail?

The lead in from It's Always Sunny might help raise interest in the series.
