Yeah, although how many times have they brought in these guys this season? 3?

These episodes where six or seven things are happening at once tend to be hit or miss, but this one was all laughs. Fry/Zoidberg and Leela/Farnsworth suddenly making out has to be the funniest thing I've seen on this show in years. And knowing the "Futurama" writing staff, I wouldn't be surprised if the math used in this episode is completely accurate. Easily a contender for best episode of the season!

Ken Keeler actually wrote and proved a brand new concept in group theory for the math in this episode. This what happens when the least intelligent writer on your staff has a masters in applied physics, and others, like Keeler, have doctorates.

Meanwhile, I really enjoyed this episode, horrible pairings and all. While this easily could've been a two part episode, the frenetic pacing was welcome, and wonderfully timed. Not one dull moment.

Why do they bother with theories like that though?

Its not like your average viewer is really going to take the time to care about the math and what's accurate.

Why did they need to make an alien alphabet? Why did they need to make a loose arc starting from the first episode and ending several seasons later?

Because they can. This is how much care the writers put into the show.

There are a thousand shows that are dumbed down so that the average viewer can understand them. Can't smart people have one or two?
