Futurama - "Proposition Infinity" - Talkback [7/8]

Normally, I could accept this justification, but the Lucy Liu episode (sorry, forgot the title) is also made to give the reason that a human/robot relationship will doom the former's race because, well, they can't produce offsprings. My question is, why is this not an issue in this episode?

Because it's a different kind of infaturation. Compare what happens in "I Dated A Robot" (the name of the episode BTW) to this one. In that one Fry had a download of Lucy Liu's physical appearence downloaded into a robot. One that was totally 100% loyal to him and loved him because that's all she was programmed to do. So he wasn't in an ACTUAL relationship because the robot didn't have any actual feelings for him. Since it was funded by "Kidnapster" it's not only a parody of people downloading things illegally on the internet, but also those empty relationships you find on the internet. You know the ones that aren't real where you don't even know the person. Robosexuals are an anogram for homosexuals who also cannot give birth unless by non natural means. However there is nothing wrong with them considering they find a happiness in the other person not just based on looks but also on they're personality and general interests and attidue. The thing about Fry's relationship was that pretty much anyone could have it and it would be meaingless which is different from Bender and Amy. Don't know what you aren't grasping about that.

If I wanted topical references or social commentary I'd watch South Park not Futurama. I watch Futurama because of the outrageous situations the Planet Express crew into. I haven't liked either episode of Futurama and hope this trend doesn't continue. I think the writers lost their groove during the break because even the movies were hit and miss.
