Yeah, I know what you meant, dude. What I was saying is that in all likelihood, this fact won't even be brought up again, and that fans like yourself would be better off not obsessing over every little detail and to just relax and enjoy the show. Futurama is a comedy cartoon whose primary goal is to make it's audience laugh, and as such, a lot of things are going to happen on it that just don't make sense, and there will inevitably be some events on the show that will completely contradict other things that have happened in past episodes. Expecting every single event and plot twist that happens on a series like Futurama to have long lasting repercussions is just setting one's self up for disappointment.

This is the kind of amazing, hilarious, character-growth-building, heartwarming episode I feared we'd never see again, given the track record of past shows that have returned. If anybody says "new Futurama sucks" NOW, they're clearly wrong.

And so I come here, pleased to see this ep got a full 3 pages of discussion already, and find it only has this much attention because you guys are arguing about a baby robot.

Seriously? Some of you will never know happiness.

if i ever had any doubts before, theyre gone now. futurama is back to its old self. i have enjoyed all of the futurama episodes this season so far, but with all of them it still felt like they were trying to get back to the level futurama was once at. this is that level.

A Bender and Hermes episode. I don't think that's ever been done before. The plot was a decent run with nothing that stuck out to me. I figured out the Inspector #5-is-Hermes plot at least halfway into the episode, so the reveal didn't shock me.

The ending did. Futurama, great as a comedic bandwagon, has a tendency to unexpectedly pull our heartstrings when we least expect it. "Jurassic Bark", "Luck of the Fryish", "Time Keeps on Slippin", and etc. each had an ending that threw me for a loop on its emotional investment. The same can be said here. I didn't care for the overall content of the episode (I'm not really a huge Bender and Hermes fan), but the ending made it worth watching it all the way through.

Comedy Central re-aired this one tonight. I thought it was pretty cute. I had a feeling Hermes would turn out to be the one who inspected Bender, and the flashback at the end was reaffirming. Between this and The Late Phillip J. Fry I think this season is my favorite.
