A new Futurama premieres tonight at 10pm E/P on Comedy Central! Here's the synopsis: :v:

Wait, why is Fry asking what Parade Day is? He's been living in New New York for over 11 years! Have they just been out on package runs every Parade Day for the past 11 years?

I think what they meant was that joke is lame, not the movie. By the way, did anyone catch the name of the magazine Robot Devil was reading? ;)

No, I think they mean the franchise because 89 was when the sequel came out.

I hate it when unfunny things make unfunny potshots are things that are funny.

Great ep! Best was Bender at heaven, Robot Devil's lame songs, Fry-day, Fry's wikipedia page & Fansworth looking at the nurse's cleavage

I didn't think this episode was bad,actually...Granted,it wasn't really laugh-out-loud funny, but it amused me...Probably helps that the Robot Devil's one of my favorite characters (Dan Castellaneta's a favorite VA of mine)....I especially enjoyed the callback to the "Robot Hell" song from "Hell is Other Robots"....

I'd like it if, just once, they'd stop trying to cram every Planet Express crew member into every episode. Why does every episode start with a staff meeting where either Hermes or Farnsworth addresses just how much the company sucks? Why is Scruffy in every episode now? There's a character that's really starting to lose his appeal.

This show is starting to turn into what The Simpsons is now. Every character is there just to spout shtick because apparently after 12 years this is what the fanbase expects out of these characters. I don't feel any depth with these characters anymore and this particular episode is really the bottom of the barrel for me. It wasn't as bad as the Xmas special last year, but it's pretty awful.

Pretty funny actually. The part where Bender scares Fry into having a heart attack was actually scary.

"DAMN YOU, OBAMACARE!!!"

This is exactly the kind of crap I'm talking about. Are Obamacare references going to be relevant in the 31st century? It's lazy, lazy writing.

They don't need to try very hard anymore. They know their only real audience is the hardcore fan base that has stuck with the show since 1999. And this audience will stick by the show til the better end.
